The Promotion and Services Division of the Corporation is monitoring Govt. related projects.

The Main functions of this division are :-

1. Govt. related work, which includes correspondence with the Govt. regarding Corporation related matters, coordination with various subsidiaries of UPLC and compiling information for the Govt.
2. Details of funds received from Govt. and its utilization.
3. Monitoring of projects sanctioned by the Govt.
4. Compilation of information to the Planning Department concerning projects for which funds have been sanctioned.
5. Preparation of Yearly Plans and Five Year Plans and submission to the Govt.
6. Compilation of Corporations Progress Reports and its submission to the Govt. for information.
7. Reply to Parliament/Assembly questions related to the Corporation.
8. Correspondence with the Govt. regarding various matters in respect of Computer Supplies to the Govt.

1. Software Technology Parks:-

In order to boost software exports the State Govt. has promoted the scheme of Software Technology Parks (STP) at Noida, Kanpur, Lucknow and Allahabad. These parks have been setup by Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) an autonomous body setup by MIT. (earlier called the DOE) Govt. of India. Under this scheme a land of approximately 02 acres is made available by the State Govt. free of cost alongwith Rs. 01 Crore as grant-in-aid to STPI.

STPI is providing the following main facilities to its registered units with the various Software Technology Parks :-

1. Single window clearance
2. Fast speed data communication facilities
3. Facility of incubation centre
4. 100% rebate on import of Hardware and Software
5. Reimbursement of amount paid against CST
6. Availability of certificate for export at a single point
7. Consultancy for value aided services - Video Conferencing, Disaster Recovery, Data Centre, Web-hosting VOIP, VPN etc

Presently software Technology Park is proposed at Agra. The land has been selected by STPI under the Shastripuram Scheme of the Agra Development Authority. The Govt. has been requested for necessary funds for establishing the Park.

2. Computer Training Labs at Divisional Head quarters / Other Districts in U.P.:-

For providing the services of Computer Training to Govt. Employees and others, the Computer Labs had been established by the Corporation against funds sanctioned by the Govt. at the following locations majority of which were completed in 2007 & 2008.

3.	Ghaziabad	At Sadar Tehsil
4.	Kannuaj	At Zila Panchayat, Near Post Office, GT Road

6.	Mirzapur	At Zila Panchayat
7.	Sahranpur	At Block Balia Kheri
8.	Banda	At Zila Panchayat
9.	Kaushambi	At Zila Panchayat

Subsequently vide GO No. 932/78-1-2010-01 IT-1/06 dated 21 June 2010 issued by the IT Electronics Anubhag-1 the above Labs were put under the control of the concerned DMs for their operation.
