The Main functions of this division are :-
In order to boost software exports the State Govt. has promoted the scheme of Software Technology Parks (STP) at Noida, Kanpur, Lucknow and Allahabad. These parks have been setup by Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) an autonomous body setup by MIT. (earlier called the DOE) Govt. of India. Under this scheme a land of approximately 02 acres is made available by the State Govt. free of cost alongwith Rs. 01 Crore as grant-in-aid to STPI.
STPI is providing the following main facilities to its registered units with the various Software Technology Parks :-
Presently software Technology Park is proposed at Agra. The land has been selected by STPI under the Shastripuram Scheme of the Agra Development Authority. The Govt. has been requested for necessary funds for establishing the Park.
For providing the services of Computer Training to Govt. Employees and others, the Computer Labs had been established by the Corporation against funds sanctioned by the Govt. at the following locations majority of which were completed in 2007 & 2008.

Subsequently vide GO No. 932/78-1-2010-01 IT-1/06 dated 21 June 2010 issued by the IT Electronics Anubhag-1 the above Labs were put under the control of the concerned DMs for their operation.
